When you live in a foreign land, or when you live in your own country and it seems alien to you, what do you to express your feelings when something appears weird or incongruent? You write it all into a blog and hope that your comments are not misconstrued as uninformed or biased wittering. Now that we travel with relative facility, our ‘somewhere else’ may be a place we live in temporarily or even long term. It may be a place we visit for just a day, or for only a few hours. And in that space of time, ideas, images and experiences, can make an impression on us that we want to share with others … if only to find out if we are the only ones to see it that way. This is my letter from somewhere else.
